What is Aster DEX?
Aster DEX is a decentralized exchange for perpetual contracts, with order privacy built in at the protocol layer. Its markets cover crypto, stocks and commodities. The homepage says a single account can trade across BNB Chain, Arbitrum, Ethereum and Solana.
The docs stress privacy as the default. Order contents stay hidden until a trade executes, so position size, entry point and liquidation level are not shown in the order book. This runs on Aster Chain, an L1 the project built for private perps trading, with 100,000+ transactions per second and 50ms block latency.
Traders can pick between four trading types: Perpetuals on an order book, Shield Mode with an AMM-style interface, 1001x and Spot. Aster Earn offers yield products, asBNB (a BNB liquid staking token) and USDF (a stablecoin that earns yield).
How Aster DEX works
Aster works as an exchange where a trader opens perpetual or spot positions through a single account. The homepage says that account can trade across BNB Chain, Arbitrum, Ethereum and Solana, with settlements signed by validators.
The claim guide describes a single claim with an eligibility check first. It says eligibility checks opened on 11 September at 07:00 UTC+0: you connected your wallet and pressed the eligibility button to see your amount on your Aster account. The claim itself went live on 17 September at 09:00 UTC+0, and you pressed Claim and confirmed the transaction.
Claimed tokens landed in your Aster Spot account. Users had up to 30 days to claim, and after 17 October 2025 the unclaimed tokens were redirected to ecosystem development initiatives. The guide gives no formula for how individual amounts were set, and the homepage and docs list no later airdrop stage.
The ASTER airdrop
The Aster airdrop paid ASTER tokens, claimed from a dedicated airdrop page on the Aster site. A user connected a wallet, used the eligibility check to see an allocated amount, and then pressed Claim and confirmed one transaction, after which the tokens sat in the Aster Spot account. The guide does not explain how eligibility or amounts were decided. The claim window has closed.
Step by step: how to get the ASTER airdrop
Kept for reference: this is how the campaign worked while it ran.
Stay safe: a real airdrop never asks for your seed phrase or private key. Use only the official links on this page, and treat any message that offers help with a claim as a scam.
Step 1: Open the airdrop tab on the Aster site
The claim guide told users to open the "$ASTER Airdrop" tab in the site header and click Claim Airdrop. The tab led to Aster's official airdrop page.
Step 2: Connect your wallet and check eligibility
From 11 September 2025 at 07:00 UTC+0, users connected a wallet and clicked the eligibility button on that page.
Step 3: Read the amount on your Aster account
After the eligibility check, the number of airdrop tokens appeared on the user's Aster account.
Step 4: Claim and confirm the transaction
Once the claim went live on 17 September 2025 at 09:00 UTC+0, users clicked Claim and confirmed the transaction. The guide says claiming needs no approve transaction.
Step 5: Check the balance in your Spot account
After the claim, users were notified and the tokens appeared in their Aster Spot account. Unclaimed tokens were redirected after 17 October 2025, so the window is now closed.
