What is CESS Network?
CESS Network is a decentralized data infrastructure project that describes itself as a trusted data engine for the AI era, built around data that is verifiable, programmable, liquid and monetizable. Its homepage calls the CESS Public Chain an innovative DePIN L1 and lists CESS Storage, Smart Contract, CD²N, DeOSS, an SDK, AI-LINK, DeCloud, Deshare, CESS scan and ANON ID among the components in its ecosystem list.
The homepage frames the project around data ownership for users, enterprises and institutions, backed by on-chain proofs, and also mentions privacy-preserving AI training.
People can also contribute hardware. The network's documentation describes four node types: consensus, storage, CDN and TEE nodes, each with its own role.
How CESS Network works
CESS Network runs its own blockchain with four kinds of nodes. Validators, picked from the consensus nodes each cycle, are paid in CESS tokens for producing blocks, and token holders can back them as nominators. Storage nodes hold user data and are tested on the chain for idle space and data integrity, with passing nodes earning rewards. CDN nodes speed up data retrieval, and TEE nodes verify storage inside Intel SGX secure enclaves.
The CESS DeShare Airdrop page was headed "Earn Points, Unlock $CESS rewards" and kept a running point total. Points came from tasks: inviting friends, a daily check-in, uploading files, a quiz about CESS, following the project on X and TikTok, a daily retweet, joining Telegram and Discord, and changing a profile.
Rewards were split in two phases. Phase 1 covered eligibility for a Bitget airdrop, and Phase 2 was a CESS claim open only through OKX Wallet. As of 29 October 2026 both show "Event Ended". The page also advertises a separate KuCoin listing campaign with a 2,400,000 CESS prize pool.
