What is ChronoForge?
ChronoForge is a multiplayer action RPG from Minted Loot Studios, co-developed with Ammobox Studios, with a web3 layer built on collectibles and a planned token called CHRONO. Players choose from 12 combat classes and fight foes across time.
The game is framed as a social experiment. Each player works toward upgrading one of eight factional airships, known as trading companies. Every week, players vote on whether to attack rival vessels, ban chrono tech or activate the ChronoForge, a technology the game presents as capable of destroying the world if overused.
CHRONO was planned as the only token of the ChronoForge ecosystem. ChronoForge announced on 9 December 2025 that it would shut down services by 30 December 2025.
How ChronoForge works
Players pick from 12 combat classes, fight foes through time and work to upgrade one of eight airships, called trading companies, to reach the end game. Fully upgrading requires activating the ChronoForge, which players vote on each week.
For rewards, the roadmap targeted Q4 2025 for the CHRONO token generation event and an initial airdrop of 5% of supply to Adventurer NFT holders. According to the project's guide, each genesis adventurer holder would receive an equal share, unlocked at once. Shares left unclaimed for more than 14 days would move to the Ecosystem Fund, and the guide excludes holders in certain countries.
Separately, the preseason playtest ran on the Epic Games Store from 30 October 2024, with a 500,000 RIFT prize pool. Completing missions on GAMES.GG gave players an access code for it, and that quest is now marked ended.
As of 27 October 2026, the December 2025 shutdown post states that the team was unable to sustain the game or token utilities, and that services would shut down by 30 December 2025.

Is the ChronoForge airdrop still live?
- No. The Pot of RIFT quest on GAMES.GG, the entry point for the Preseason Competition and its 500,000 RIFT prize pool, is marked ended. ChronoForge itself announced on 9 December 2025 that it could not find enough funding or an acquirer and would shut down services by 30 December 2025, so there is no campaign left to join.
How did you qualify for the ChronoForge Preseason Competition rewards?
- Players completed four missions on the GAMES.GG quest page (wishlist ChronoForge on Epic Games, read about the 500K RIFT prize pool, link Discord and join the ChronoForge Discord) to claim an Epic Games access code. With the code they installed the game and competed once it went live on 30 October 2024. Partner communities were promised double RIFT rewards.
What happened to ChronoForge's token plans?
