What is Doma Protocol?

Doma Protocol is a platform that turns internet domain names into tokens, so a name can be traded by the share instead of being bought whole. Anyone can buy a share of a domain name on the app instead of the whole name.

Around those domain tokens the Doma app offers swapping, liquidity provision, token launches and a points programme. Each listed domain has its own token, and a quest on the app also mentions bridging a domain from Doma to Base.

The app's help center answers basic questions about what a buyer gets when purchasing a Doma token, how to trade tokens, and which fees apply.

How Doma Protocol works

Doma splits a domain name into tokens, and anyone can buy a share of that name on the Doma app instead of paying for the whole domain. Tokens can be swapped, and users can add liquidity to a domain token.

Season 1 of the points programme runs on the app's Points page under the tagline "Trade, earn, level up and compete weekly". Points come from three kinds of quests: daily, weekly and season. Weekly examples include swapping at least $300 in fractionalized tokens or holding at least 17 SOFTWARE.AI for 6 days. Season examples include adding at least $10 in liquidity to a domain token, bridging a domain from Doma to Base, and a referral mission called Lucky 888. A daily rollcall can be claimed by wallets holding 1 domain token. A leaderboard shows season points and weekly points for each wallet.

For Season 1, Doma has named no token, no ticker, no reward amount and no end date. The app says only that signing in lets you earn points and unlock rewards, without naming the rewards.

Anyone who signs in to the Doma app with a wallet can earn points by completing daily, weekly and season quests, such as trading domain tokens, providing liquidity, bridging a domain to Base or referring friends.

Step by step: how to get the Doma's Season 1 points airdrop
