What is DoubleZero?
DoubleZero is a network of dedicated fiber links, contributed by independent operators, that gives blockchains and other distributed systems a faster route than the public internet. Its links are managed by an onchain control plane, and the project says network state, access control and payment settlement are coordinated onchain.
Products built on the network include DoubleZero Edge, a low-latency transport layer for market data aimed at traders, geolocation verification that proves where a server is located onchain, and multicast delivery, which lets a live data feed reach many subscribers without the publisher building its own network.
DoubleZero describes access as permissionless: no application, no approval and no minimum stake. Validators can publish data they already produce to earn revenue share, and operators can deploy DoubleZero devices in their data centers and contribute bandwidth to earn protocol revenue as the network grows.
How DoubleZero works
Operators contribute fiber capacity by registering endpoints and links. Links that meet performance thresholds are added to the network automatically and rewarded for verified uptime, latency and throughput. Validators and RPC nodes join with a simple install, and their traffic uses DoubleZero whenever it is available, falling back to the public internet otherwise.
Multicast is the delivery method: a stream is replicated once inside the network and delivered in parallel to all recipients, instead of the sender transmitting a separate copy to each peer.
The 2Z airdrop ran through Binance's HODLer Airdrops program, not through tasks or points. Users who subscribed BNB to Simple Earn or On-Chain Yields from 26 to 28 September 2025 qualified. Binance took snapshots several times an hour to work out hourly average balances, and a supported asset had to exceed 0.01 BNB at a snapshot to count. The program's rewards were 35,000,000 2Z, with a further 5,000,000 2Z allocated to marketing campaigns after the spot listing.
Network rewards today work differently. Revenue from Solana shreds subscriptions is paid in 2Z ten epochs after fees are earned, after 10% of that revenue is burned.
The DoubleZero (2Z) airdrop
The airdrop paid 2Z, with 35,000,000 2Z set aside for the HODLer Airdrops program on Binance. Users qualified by subscribing BNB to Simple Earn (Flexible or Locked) or On-Chain Yields between 26 and 28 September 2025, holding more than 0.01 BNB at a snapshot, completing Binance account verification and living in an eligible jurisdiction. Tokens went to Spot Accounts before 2Z listed on 2 October 2025.
Step by step: how to get the DoubleZero (2Z) airdrop
Kept for reference: this is how the campaign worked while it ran.
Stay safe: a real airdrop never asks for your seed phrase or private key. Use only the official links on this page, and treat any message that offers help with a claim as a scam.
Step 1: Subscribe BNB to a Binance Earn product
While the airdrop ran, qualifying meant putting BNB into Binance Simple Earn (Flexible or Locked) or On-Chain Yields. The balance counted for the window from 26 to 28 September 2025.
Step 2: Keep more than 0.01 BNB subscribed
Binance took snapshots several times each hour to build hourly average balances. A supported asset had to be above 0.01 BNB at a snapshot to be included.
Step 3: Complete Binance verification
Binance required account verification (KYC) and residence in an eligible jurisdiction to take part in HODLer Airdrops.
Step 4: Receive 2Z in your Spot Account
No claim step was needed: the token was transferred to each eligible user's Spot Account before 2Z listed on Binance Spot on 2 October 2025.
Step 5: Check how the network pays rewards now
The new payouts are for validators and contributors, not a sign-up airdrop. The validator page explains the revenue share paid in 2Z.
DoubleZero airdrop FAQ
Is the DoubleZero airdrop still live?
- No. As of 29 October 2026 the 2Z airdrop has ended: Binance counted BNB balances from 26 to 28 September 2025 and listed 2Z on 2 October 2025. DoubleZero's own site shows no open sign-up for a new airdrop, and the payouts it advertises now are revenue share for validators and contributors.
What is the 2Z token?
- 2Z is the token of DoubleZero. Binance lists a total supply of 10,000,000,000 2Z, with 35,000,000 2Z as HODLer Airdrops rewards and 5,000,000 more allocated to marketing campaigns after listing. DoubleZero's site also says shreds revenue payments to validators are made in 2Z.
Did the DoubleZero airdrop need KYC?
- Yes. Binance required account verification (KYC) and residence in an eligible jurisdiction for its HODLer Airdrops. DoubleZero's own homepage, by contrast, describes network access for firms, validators and platforms as permissionless, with no application and no approval, which concerns connecting to the network rather than this airdrop.
How much did the 2Z airdrop cost to join?
- Taking part meant subscribing BNB to Binance Simple Earn or On-Chain Yields, with more than 0.01 BNB at a snapshot. No claim step was involved, because Binance transferred the token to eligible users' Spot Accounts automatically before 2Z began trading on Binance Spot.
How do validators and contributors earn from DoubleZero now?
- Validators that publish shreds receive a share of subscription revenue proportional to the leader shreds they originate. Contributors register links and are rewarded for verified uptime, latency and throughput. DoubleZero's site says shreds payments arrive in 2Z ten epochs after fees are earned, about 20 days.
