Gaia airdrop step by step tutorial

The Gaia airdrop is the Gaia Reward Program, a points campaign that pays gaiaPoints to people who chat with AI agents on the network, run nodes or register domains. The campaign is open on 27 October 2026. Joining means using or contributing to the network, and Gaia says awards after its token generation event will follow gaiaPoints holdings.

Live · checked 27 October 2026

As of 27 October 2026, the Gaia rewards site still invites users, node operators and domain operators to earn gaiaPoints and shows a live leaderboard. Its FAQ describes the current XP program as tracking from zero.

Gaia Reward Program: earn gaiaPoints by chatting with AI agents, running nodes or registering domains, with awards tied to points after the Gaia TGE.

What is Gaia?

Gaia is a decentralized, open-source AI infrastructure that lets developers create and deploy AI agents from any knowledge base. The project describes itself as a living network where knowledge keeps evolving, supporting AI applications that improve over time.

Each Gaia node works as an OpenAI compatible API server, so an application written for the OpenAI API can point at a Gaia endpoint instead. Developers can choose from open-source language models, add a knowledge base for specialized inference, and fine-tune their models before deploying them.

The network involves three kinds of participants: end users who chat with agents built on Gaia, node operators who run the inference nodes, and domain operators who register domains that nodes connect to.

How Gaia works

A Gaia node runs AI inference and exposes it through an OpenAI compatible API. Domain operators register Gaia Domains, and nodes connect to a domain to provide their services through it. A developer sends requests to a domain address with an API key, and the request is answered by a node on the network.

The reward program measures contribution in gaiaPoints, which are based on LLM throughput volume, also called language token consumption. End users earn them by chatting with AI agents, node operators by running nodes, and domain operators by registering domains. Gaia also hands out points for community activities and quest campaigns, online and in real life.

gaiaCredits are a separate on-chain token that reflects language token consumption. They are spent to use products such as the Chat UI and the Gaia Domain API. Points earned on the user side can be redeemed for credits, up to a daily cap, and the points themselves are not used up. Points from the node and domain sides cannot be converted.

Gaia says participants will receive awards based on their gaiaPoints holdings following its TGE. The project has not given a date or an amount for that distribution on its rewards site. The current XP program counts from zero, while earlier throughput records remain intact.

The Gaia Token airdrop

The Gaia Reward Program pays gaiaPoints, and Gaia says participants will receive awards based on their gaiaPoints holdings following its TGE. End users earn points by chatting with AI agents, node operators by running nodes, and domain operators by registering domains. Community activities and quests add more points. No amount or distribution date has been announced.

Step by step: how to get the Gaia Token airdrop

Stay safe: a real airdrop never asks for your seed phrase or private key. Use only the official links on this page, and treat any message that offers help with a claim as a scam.

  1. Step 1: Open the Gaia reward program

Go to the Gaia reward page and read which role fits you: end user, node operator or domain operator.

  2. Step 2: Choose how you contribute

As an end user you chat with AI agents built on Gaia. Node operators run Gaia nodes, and domain operators register Gaia Domains for nodes to connect to.

  3. Step 3: Build with the API if you are a developer

Calling the Gaia Domain API needs your own API key, created by following the authentication guide. The API reference lists the endpoints.

  4. Step 4: Join community activities and quests

Gaia runs community activities and quest campaigns, online and in real life, that award extra gaiaPoints. Watch the project's official announcements for them.

  5. Step 5: Track your points and redeem credits

Check your gaiaPoints on the leaderboard of the reward page. User-side points can be redeemed for gaiaCredits, up to a daily cap, to keep using Gaia agents.

Gaia airdrop FAQ

Is the Gaia airdrop still live?

Yes. As of 27 October 2026, the Gaia reward page still invites users, node operators and domain operators to earn gaiaPoints and shows a live leaderboard. The FAQ there says the current XP program starts fresh and tracks from zero, so points are being counted now.

Does Gaia have a token?

Yes, Gaia lists a GAIA token on its site, and says domain owners will be rewarded with Gaia token. It also says participants will receive awards based on their gaiaPoints holdings following its TGE. The project has not published a date or an amount for that distribution.

How are gaiaPoints earned?

Points follow LLM throughput volume. End users earn them by chatting with AI agents built on Gaia, node operators by running nodes, and domain operators by registering domains. Gaia also awards points for community activities and quest campaigns, online and in real life.

What does it cost to join the Gaia reward program?

Gaia's reward page does not name an entry fee or a deposit, and it does not mention identity verification. Using Gaia agents consumes gaiaCredits, which you get by redeeming user-side gaiaPoints, up to a daily cap. Running a node or domain is a separate effort.
