What is Human Passport?
Human Passport is a Proof of Personhood and Sybil protection product from human.tech, previously called Gitcoin Passport. It offers identity tools and data services meant to protect against bad actors and Sybils, onchain and offchain.
Its site lists these uses: airdrop and faucet protection, quadratic funding protection, wallet recovery with the human.tech Wallet, spam prevention on social and quest platforms, sanction list verification through a ZK KYC feature, protection for DAO governance, prioritised AI access for humans, and protection for web3 gaming.
For builders, the site points to a scoring guide that describes how Passport thresholds inform an application's access decisions. It says its free API gives access to data on over 2M Human Passport users, and a separate data service classifies and clusters wallets by onchain history to tell human wallets from Sybil ones.
How Human Passport works
Human Passport gives applications a way to check whether a wallet belongs to a unique human. A developer follows the Stamps API quickstart to examine the verification result, and the site's scoring guide describes how Passport thresholds inform an application's access decisions. The project describes verification methods that work both onchain and offchain.
The campaign sits on a separate site, the human.tech Quest, titled "Explore Human Tech". Visitors are asked to learn about the products, try them and report back on the experience. It sets out three product journeys, Passport, Privacy and Wallet, and a separate Community journey built around the Covenant.
A tracker on the quest site counts total XP against a ceiling of 2860 quest XP plus retest bonuses, and products explored out of 3. Anyone who completes all three product journeys unlocks an achievement called Ecosystem Explorer, worth +500 XP on top. Spam-flagged feedback is penalised, and repeated flags end access to every quest.
The quest site does not say what XP converts to. Separately, the Covenant site invites visitors to contribute to shape the future of HUMN, without tying that to XP.
The XP airdrop
The human.tech Quest pays XP, not a named reward, for exploring the Passport, Privacy and Wallet journeys: up to 2860 quest XP plus retest bonuses. Visitors who finish all three product journeys also get a +500 XP bonus. The quest site gives no conversion for XP. The Covenant site mentions HUMN but does not link it to the quest.
Step by step: how to get the XP airdrop
Stay safe: a real airdrop never asks for your seed phrase or private key. Use only the official links on this page, and treat any message that offers help with a claim as a scam.
Step 1: Open the human.tech Quest site
Go to the human.tech Quest, titled "Explore Human Tech", where your XP total, journeys and achievements are tracked.
Step 2: Start the Passport journey
Open the Passport journey, which centres on proving you are a real, unique person without revealing who you are.
Step 3: Complete the Privacy and Wallet journeys
Work through the Privacy journey and the Wallet journey, trying each product and sharing your own experience of it.
Step 4: Give honest, specific feedback
Write honest, specific feedback on each product; repeated spam flags cost you access to every quest.
Step 5: Finish all three journeys
Completing every product journey unlocks the Ecosystem Explorer achievement, which carries +500 XP.
Step 6: Look at the Community journey
The Community journey is the Covenant, separate from the three product journeys. The quest site does not say whether it counts toward the XP total.
Human Passport airdrop FAQ
Is the Human Passport airdrop still live?
- As of 2 November 2026, the quest site is open, but it does not call itself an airdrop. The human.tech Quest, which includes a Passport journey, lets visitors explore the Passport, Privacy and Wallet journeys and earn XP, up to 2860 quest XP plus retest bonuses. The quest site gives no end date and no conversion for XP.
Does Human Passport have a token?
- The only token named is HUMN, on the Covenant site at human.tech, which invites visitors to contribute to shape its future. That site does not tie it to Human Passport, and the quest site gives no conversion from XP to HUMN or any other token. The Covenant site gives no launch date or amount.
How do you earn XP in the human.tech Quest?
- You earn XP by exploring the Passport, Privacy and Wallet journeys, trying each product and sharing feedback, up to 2860 quest XP plus retest bonuses. Finishing all three journeys adds a +500 XP bonus. Feedback flagged as spam counts against your account.
Does the human.tech Quest cost anything?
- The quest site lists no fee, deposit or purchase. Taking part asks for your time: learning about the products, trying them and writing feedback. The quest site names no chain and does not say whether any step involves network fees.
Does the human.tech Quest need KYC?
- The landing page of the human.tech Quest mentions no identity check or KYC step for the three product journeys. The Community journey asks visitors to prove their humanity as part of the Covenant, without saying how that is done on the landing page.
