Kelp DAO KERNEL airdrop step by step tutorial

The Kelp DAO airdrop listing covers the Kernel points seasons, a campaign from the KernelDAO ecosystem on BNB Chain, and it is ended as of 2 November 2026. Points were issued over four seasons, with Season 4 the last, and issuance stopped on 28 February 2026. Taking part meant restaking assets through the Kernel dApp, which was sunset on 27 March 2026. Deposits can still be withdrawn through the smart contracts. Kelp's retaking and Gain products continue as usual.

As of 2 November 2026, the KernelDAO docs say points issuance ended on 28 February 2026, with Season 4 as the final season, and that the Kernel dApp was sunset on 27 March 2026. The KERNEL token appears there only as part of what comes next, and the update notice gives no claim or new season.

What is Kelp DAO?

Kelp DAO is a liquid restaking project that sits in the KernelDAO ecosystem, where the KernelDAO site presents Kelp, Gain and Kernel as its three products. The docs refer to Kelp's liquid restaking infrastructure as part of what comes next for the ecosystem.

The KernelDAO site frames the ecosystem as a way to put Ethereum and stablecoins to work and earn rewards on Ethereum, BTC and BNB. Kernel itself was a shared security protocol on BNB Chain, with a restaking interface where users deposited assets.

In its update notice, the team says Kelp's retaking and Gain products keep running with no changes, while the Kernel dApp interface is retired. The same notice says Kernel is entering its next chapter with the launch of KUSD.

How Kelp DAO works

Kernel worked as a restaking layer on BNB Chain. A user deposited a supported asset, such as native BNB or clisBNB, through the Kernel dApp. That interface is now shut, deposits are paused, and no new assets can be staked.

Rewards came as points, handed out over four seasons. The update notice says Season 4 was the final one and that points issuance ended on 28 February 2026, so points are discontinued. The notice names the KERNEL token as part of what comes next, but it gives no conversion rate from points, no amount and no claim date.

Withdrawing no longer needs the dApp. The smart contracts stay live, and holders pull their assets out directly on BscScan. You need the wallet that made the original deposit and some BNB in it for gas fees. A deposit can be read back from the Kernel proxy contract with balanceOf, and the matching unstake function returns it: unstakeNative for BNB, unstakeClisBNB for clisBNB, and unstake for every other asset.

The KERNEL airdrop

The Kernel campaign issued points over four seasons to people who restaked assets through the Kernel dApp. Season 4 was the last, and issuance ended on 28 February 2026. The KERNEL token is named in the docs as part of what comes next. The update notice gives no points-to-token rate, amount or claim date, and nothing new can be earned now.

Step by step: how to get the KERNEL airdrop

Kept for reference: this is how the campaign worked while it ran.

Stay safe: a real airdrop never asks for your seed phrase or private key. Use only the official links on this page, and treat any message that offers help with a claim as a scam.

  1. Step 1: Read the Kernel update notice

The update notice on the KernelDAO docs lists the key dates: points issuance ended on 28 February 2026 and the Kernel dApp was sunset on 27 March 2026.

  2. Step 2: Know how Kernel worked while it ran

Holders restaked supported assets, such as native BNB or clisBNB, through the Kernel dApp over four seasons. Deposits are now paused, so no new assets can be staked.

  3. Step 3: Prepare the wallet you deposited from

Withdrawal needs the exact wallet that made the original deposit, with some BNB in it to pay gas fees.

  4. Step 4: Check your deposited balance on BscScan

Open the Read as Proxy page of the Kernel contract, run balanceOf with the asset address and your wallet address, and copy the number it returns. The asset contract addresses are listed at the end of the update notice. Repeat for each asset you deposited.

  5. Step 5: Connect your wallet and unstake

On the Write as Proxy tab, connect your wallet and use unstakeNative for BNB, unstakeClisBNB for clisBNB or unstake for other assets, entering the balance from the previous step and NA as the referral id. The unstake function also needs the asset's contract address, taken from the list at the end of the update notice.

  6. Step 6: Follow the project for KERNEL news

The docs point to the team's X account, Telegram and Discord for what comes next.

Kelp DAO airdrop FAQ

Is the Kelp DAO airdrop still live?

No. As of 2 November 2026, the KernelDAO docs say points issuance ended on 28 February 2026, with Season 4 as the final season, and the Kernel dApp was sunset on 27 March 2026. The KERNEL token is mentioned only as part of what comes next, with no claim or new season announced.

Is there a KERNEL token?

The update notice names the KERNEL token as part of what comes next, alongside Kelp's liquid restaking infrastructure and KUSD. It gives no supply, launch date, claim date or conversion rate for Kernel points, and no new season.

How do I get my assets out of Kernel?

Withdraw directly from the smart contracts on BscScan, since the dApp is gone. Use the wallet that made the deposit, keep some BNB in it for gas, check your balance with balanceOf, then call unstakeNative, unstakeClisBNB or unstake depending on the asset. The docs say assets remain withdrawable at all times.

Which chain did the Kernel campaign use?

The update notice describes Kernel as a shared security protocol on BNB Chain, and withdrawals are confirmed on BNB Smart Chain. Withdrawals are made on BscScan from the wallet that deposited, with some BNB in it for gas fees.

Does the Kernel campaign need KYC?

The Kernel update notice asks for no identity verification. Withdrawing needs only the wallet you deposited from and some BNB for gas fees. Since deposits are paused and points issuance ended, there is no active task left that would call for it.
