AI Arena NRN airdrop step by step tutorial
Gateway to the Arena was AI Arena's play-to-airdrop campaign, which offered NRN tokens to people who played the pre-release version of the game. It is now closed, as the 28 October 2026 check shows: a March 2024 Decrypt report says its final round had finished, and AI Arena's homepage and tokenomics page do not invite anyone to earn NRN. Taking part meant joining a creator-led team and playing to build a score.

What is AI Arena?
AI Arena is a platform fighting game in which every character is driven by an AI model that a single player has trained, so the player acts as a trainer and not as the figure on screen. Visually it is close to Nintendo's Super Smash Bros., with cartoon characters.
The game is also a crypto project. Its token is Neuron (NRN), which AI Arena's tokenomics page describes as a utility token powering an ecosystem built around AI gaming, with AI Arena as the starting point. Decrypt reported in March 2024 that the game would come in two versions: one open to anyone, and one running on Arbitrum that requires an NFT and is aimed at the competitive scene.
How AI Arena works
In AI Arena, each fighter acts on its own once a match starts, and what a player contributes is the training that came before. A fight's outcome therefore reflects how well that training went.
Gateway to the Arena turned that into a team contest while the game was still in its pre-release stage. Eight crypto gaming personalities each captained 1,000 players. A player's result combined their fighter's performance with a bonus from the team's showing, and that bonus was deliberately exaggerated. AI Arena's COO Wei Xie told Decrypt the exaggerated multipliers likely made more sense for a player to focus on one or two accounts rather than many.
Per Decrypt, AI Arena planned to airdrop 80 million NRN in total, half through the play-to-airdrop campaign. The team told Decrypt the airdrop would take place in April or May 2024. AI Arena's own site gives no claim steps or claim date, and the campaign is no longer open for new scores.
The Neuron (NRN) airdrop
Gateway to the Arena was set to pay NRN to players of the pre-release AI Arena game. Qualifying meant joining one of eight creator-led teams and playing, with each player's score raised by a team multiplier. Decrypt reports a total airdrop of 80 million NRN, half from this campaign, due in April or May 2024.
Step by step: how to get the Neuron (NRN) airdrop
Kept for reference: this is how the campaign worked while it ran.
Stay safe: a real airdrop never asks for your seed phrase or private key. Use only the official links on this page, and treat any message that offers help with a claim as a scam.
Step 1: Join a creator's team
Players picked one of the creator-led teams. Team results fed into each player's reward, so the choice mattered.
Step 2: Train your AI fighter
Step 3: Build a score through fights
Each player's score came from their own fighter's results and was then raised by a team multiplier.
Step 4: What happened after the campaign
The AI Arena team told Decrypt in March 2024 that the airdrop would follow in April or May of that year. The campaign has ended, so there is nothing left to join.
Step 5: Follow official channels for NRN news
AI Arena posts on X and in its Discord. Its tokenomics page describes NRN.
