What is AtlasOra?
AtlasOra is a settlement layer for real-world commerce, built on Base and aimed first at short-term rentals. The AtlasOra Foundation (Panama) owns the smart contracts and governs the token, while MasaOra Ltd (UK) runs the flagship marketplace under licence.
The underlying system is AO Protocol, infrastructure for commerce in which customers pay weeks or months before delivery. Third-party platforms can licence it, paying 0.5 percent of associated revenue. What sets it apart, in the project's own account, is that booking money is held in individually scoped wallets rather than pooled, that the escrow float earns yield, that hosts can draw advances on confirmed bookings, and that disputes are settled onchain by a juror program.
AORA is the project's utility token. Its supply is fixed at 200,000,000 with no minting mechanism, and the project states it carries no equity or dividend right in any entity.
How AtlasOra works
Each booking on AtlasOra settles on its own onchain, through a wallet scoped to that booking, with the protocol acting as merchant of record. While a booking sits in the 60-day escrow window, the master contract places the EURC in Aave, and the yield goes to the protocol. Once a booking's cancellation window has closed, the host can draw an advance against it. For disputes, jurors stake AORA to join the selection pool, and that stake is burned when a jury invitation is accepted.
The airdrop was the Aerodrome Ignition campaign, a front-loaded run of four weeks in which AORA incentives went to veAERO voters. Week one carried 12 million AORA, week two 8 million, week three 6 million and week four 4 million, so the amount tapered each week and came to 30 million in total.
The tokenomics page lists the Aerodrome Ignition bucket with a 100% unlock at the token launch in May 2026, no cliff and no vesting. AtlasOra's site does not describe a separate claim step or give a snapshot date for the campaign.
The AORA airdrop
Aerodrome Ignition allocated 30 million AORA, 15% of the fixed 200,000,000 supply, to veAERO voters across four weeks: 12 million in week one, then 8, 6 and 4 million. Qualifying meant voting with veAERO while the campaign ran. The earning window is now closed, and the allocation was unlocked in full at the May 2026 launch.
