Blast airdrops FAQ

What is Blast?

Blast is an EVM-compatible optimistic rollup on Ethereum built around native yield: ETH balances on Blast rebase with Ethereum staking yield, and bridged stablecoins become USDB. On 27 October 2026 its website opened on the bridge page with the message "Blast is winding down" and asked users to bridge their assets back to Ethereum as soon as possible, noting that withdrawals take about a day.

Which wallet do I need for Blast?

Blast's withdrawal guide is written for regular wallets such as MetaMask, Rabby or a hardware wallet, connected to both Blast and Ethereum. You need a little ETH on Blast for the first transaction and ETH on Ethereum for the rest. Funds in a smart contract wallet such as a Safe need separate steps. A legitimate airdrop never asks for your seed phrase or private key.

What is the BLAST token used for?

BLAST is the native token that governs the Blast Network. Under the Blast Foundation's bylaws, holders propose and vote on Blast Improvement Proposals through the Foundation's Snapshot space, and a vote needs at least 6 billion tokens cast to reach quorum. BLAST held on Blast can be bridged to Ethereum, where it has an official token address listed in the Blast docs.
