What is dTelecom?

dTelecom is a decentralized communication network that supplies real-time voice, video, speech-to-text and text-to-speech to app developers and AI agents. Its stated aim is a decentralized alternative to traditional communication services for billions of people.

The network follows a DePIN design: community-operated nodes take the place of centralized data centers. Node operators earn 75% of customer payments, and the network runs on Solana, with DTEL as its native token. AI agents can pay per request in USDC through x402, while developers build with the dTelecom SDKs.

The project also runs its own apps. dMeet is a video meeting app with real-time AI voice translation, and FROGY is a live-streaming platform for creators.

How dTelecom works

dTelecom routes voice, video and AI audio services through nodes run by community members rather than a central data center. Customers pay for usage, and node operators keep 75% of those payments. Payments and validator rewards are handled on Solana.

The campaign pays in points. The project plans four stages until its token launch, each with its own rules and rewards. In the first stage, points are given for time spent in the dMeet, Livestreaming, AI Voice Agent and Spatial apps, for finishing tasks, for filing bug reports and for bringing in friends. A later stage lets points be swapped for DTEL tokens.

At the token launch, holders are expected to choose between two options: convert every point at once and forfeit 50%, or convert 25% at once with the rest unlocking over 24 months. Maximum token supply is 1 billion.

The project has no fixed launch date, only a Q3-Q4 2026 target. It has not announced a conversion rate or the eligibility rules, and the program may be closed to people living in or holding citizenship of Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Syria or the U.S.

The DTEL airdrop

The campaign pays points, which the project says can later be converted into DTEL tokens. Anyone can earn them by using dTelecom apps such as dMeet, completing tasks, reporting bugs and inviting friends. The conversion rate and the eligibility rules have not been announced, and the program may be closed to people living in or holding citizenship of Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Syria or the U.S.
