What is edgeX?
edgeX is a decentralized trading platform for perpetual futures on commodities, stocks and crypto, plus spot markets, where users keep control of their own funds. Its site describes the platform as built on its own EDGE chain, which settles on Ethereum via Arbitrum.
The same app also carries tokenized commodities and equities next to crypto perpetuals, and it is available natively on iOS and Android. The site cites order latency under 100ms and peak throughput of 300,000 orders per second.
Access is limited by location, and the US is excluded.
How edgeX works
edgeX lets you trade perpetual futures and spot markets from a wallet you control. You authorize each move of funds from your wallet into trading yourself, and each withdrawal too, without edgeX signing off.
Trade to Earn sits on top of that trading. Each qualifying fill on a supported market produces a reward equal to the eligible fee multiplied by the current campaign reward rate. That reward is split in two: 40% is credited as USDC to your claimable balance, and 60% is credited as locked EDGE, valued at the real-time EDGE price. Rewards settle per fill, so a partly filled order still earns on the part that executed.
Locked EDGE is released as you trade: each eligible fee you generate unlocks EDGE equal to 20% of that fee's value. Once unlocked, EDGE moves to your claimable balance after UTC 00:00. Locked rewards also carry an expiry, and a lapsed one cannot be recovered.
Trading volume also builds progress toward Mystery Boxes in three tiers, Basic, Pro and Jackpot. Boxes are synthesized upward and opened in scheduled windows, and a Jackpot Box registers you for the Super Jackpot draw, which is triggered when its pool reaches 300,000 USDC.

Step 1: Sign up or log in to edgeX

Your eligible fees unlock locked EDGE at 20% of each fee's value, and unlocked EDGE becomes claimable after UTC 00:00. A locked reward can be unlocked by your own fees only 10 seconds after its fill, and the oldest rewards unlock first. Locked rewards expire if they are not unlocked in time, so check the remaining validity in your rewards history.
