What is Fluence?
Fluence is a cloud platform that gives AI teams GPU and CPU compute through one console and API. The platform used to be called Fluence Network, and its servers sit in data centers in many countries, supplied by several different providers. Zero egress fees are among its advertised features. Listed uses include AI training and inference, web hosting, blockchain nodes and rendering.
The company began in 2017 and was founded by Evgeny Ponomarev, Dmitry Kurinskiy and Tom Trowbridge. Cloudless Labs leads development of the platform. A Swiss-registered association called Fluence DAO oversees the protocol and its ecosystem, and it uses the FLT token on Ethereum.
How Fluence works
Fluence works as a multi-provider cloud. Capacity from data centers across several providers is offered as GPU and CPU servers, and customers rent them through a single console or an API. For planned, reserved capacity, the platform also runs GPU Cluster Auctions, where buyers receive competitive bids from multiple providers.
The Pointless program sits beside this product in the Fluence token app. The app describes it as a way to get rewards for community activities and gives it a Farm points button. That is the full extent of what the token app says about it.
The token app does not list the activities, the points per task, any season, a snapshot or a claim process. What the Pointless site itself shows is not covered here, so those details are left open.
The FLT airdrop
According to the Fluence token app, the Pointless program is where community activities earn rewards, reached through a Farm points button. The app lists no activities, reward amounts or season, and what the rewards are paid in is not shown there. It names no closing date either. FLT powers Fluence DAO, but the app does not link it to this program.
