What is Space Nation?
Space Nation is a web3 MMORPG set in the Oikos star system. Space Nation Online is the main game of a wider series, and downloading the launcher is the way into its Soft Launch.
The game works with outside communities. Its BAYC collaboration put the collection into the game as NPCs and a faction, and the Pudgy Penguins collaboration added a Pudgy Ice Planet with its own side missions. Ships are part of play too: the Nexus is an integrated combat spacecraft built from four Tier 1 warships, and it is constructed and upgraded through the Logistikos upgrade pages.
The series has its own token, OIK. Its total supply is set at 1,000,000,000, released gradually over ten years, with no new issuance planned. Listed uses include NFT purchases, marketplace trades, DAO governance through veOIK and airdrops.
How Space Nation works
Space Nation Online scores what players do in the game, such as specific actions, limited-time events and daily missions, as achievement points. OIK is then paid out in proportion to those points. Staking OIK produces veOIK, which gives a say in the Space Nation DAO.
