Claim period

Also called claim window, claimable airdrop period

A claim period is the window during which eligible wallets can collect an airdrop, usually by signing a transaction on the project's claim page; once it closes, the tokens can no longer be claimed. The Arbitrum Foundation's glossary calls it the claimable airdrop period. For ARB it ran from 23 March 2023 to 24 September 2023, about six months, and the eligibility page now says ARB is no longer claimable. Uniswap's UNI, by contrast, could be claimed immediately from its 16 September 2020 launch on the Uniswap app.

A claim usually means signing a transaction, which costs a small gas fee. Copy the claim link from the project's own docs or announcement rather than from a message or advert: Arbitrum's page named arbitrum.foundation as the only official website for the ARB airdrop.
