Aethir ATH airdrop step by step tutorial

The Aethir Cloud Drop was a series of token airdrops from Aethir, a decentralized GPU cloud network, and it has ended as of 27 October 2026. Season 1 led to the June 2024 token launch, Season 2 announced a one-week claim window in early July, and the Season 3 allocation was redirected to a treasury instead of users. Taking part meant belonging to a rewarded group such as Checker Node holders, ATH stakers or Cloud Hosts.

What is Aethir?

Aethir is a decentralized GPU cloud network where owners of graphics chips supply compute and customers rent it when they need it. Pooling hardware from many owners is meant to give AI companies and game studios an affordable alternative to large centralized cloud providers.

Aethir's documentation says its distinguishing strength is the ability to scale with demand from AI and cloud gaming, with low latency for real-time rendering and AI inference, and with resource owners keeping control of what they contribute. Its native token is ATH, which pays resource owners for the capacity they provide.

Aethir's website presents two products. Aethir Earth is a bare metal GPU cloud aimed at AI model training, fine-tuning and inference. Aethir Atmosphere is a network of low-latency GPUs for cloud gaming.

How Aethir works

Aethir links GPU owners with customers who need compute. Cloud Hosts must stake ATH before they can supply compute, and the network has three roles: Containers run the workloads, Checkers monitor whether Containers perform as expected, and Indexers pair customers with suitable Containers when needed. Resource owners are paid in ATH, while the blockchain records how much customers use.

The Cloud Drop rewarded long-term participants in seasons. Season 1 preceded the June 2024 token launch. Season 2 was announced for Checker Node holders, ATH stakers, Cloud Hosts and engaged community members. It was conducted with eATH tokens, the receipt tokens issued when ATH is deposited in the EigenCloud ATH vault, and claims were announced for a one-week window starting in early July on the User Portal.

Season 3 was not paid to users. The Aethir Foundation redirected the 1.26B ATH earmarked for it into the Aethir Digital Asset Treasury. Aethir has not announced a further Cloud Drop season, and its site does not give a per-wallet amount for Season 2.

The ATH airdrop

Season 2 of the Aethir Cloud Drop was conducted with eATH tokens for Checker Node holders, ATH stakers, Cloud Hosts and engaged community members, with a one-week claim window announced for early July. Season 3 was redirected into the Aethir Digital Asset Treasury, so no season is paying users as of 27 October 2026. The project's site does not give a per-wallet amount.

Step by step: how to get the ATH airdrop

Kept for reference: this is how the campaign worked while it ran.

  1. Step 1: Check which group you belonged to

Season 2 was announced for Checker Node holders, ATH stakers, Cloud Hosts and engaged community members. Aethir's Season 2 post lists each group.

  2. Step 2: Follow Aethir's official announcements

Aethir's Season 2 post pointed readers to its official X account and website for news and updates. The accounts are Aethir on X and the Aethir website.

  3. Step 3: Season 2 claims on the User Portal

Season 2 was conducted with eATH tokens, and claims were announced to start in early July on Aethir's User Portal for one week. A real airdrop never asks for your seed phrase or private key.

  4. Step 4: Check for a new season

Season 3 was redirected into the treasury, as the Foundation update explains. Watch the Aethir blog for any later campaign.

Aethir airdrop FAQ

Is the Aethir airdrop still live?

No. As of 27 October 2026, Aethir's blog shows no Cloud Drop season open to participants. Season 1 led to the June 2024 token launch, Season 2 had a one-week claim window announced for early July, and Season 3 was redirected into the Aethir Digital Asset Treasury.

Does Aethir have a token?

Yes. Aethir's native token is ATH, and its documentation says resource owners are rewarded in it for providing resources to the network. The Cloud Drop's first season led to the token launch in June 2024. Season 2 used eATH tokens, which are receipt tokens for ATH deposited in a vault.

Does the Aethir Cloud Drop cost money or need KYC?

The Season 2 announcement mentions no claim fee and no identity check. Some qualifying groups, such as ATH stakers and Cloud Hosts, hold staked ATH, so those routes involved deposits. Aethir has not described a cost for engaged community members. Season 2 is closed as of 27 October 2026.

Which blockchain does the Aethir Cloud Drop use?

Aethir's announcements for the Cloud Drop do not name a single blockchain, so no chain is listed here. Season 2 was conducted with eATH tokens and claims were announced for the User Portal. Check Aethir's official channels before relying on any network detail.

How do I stay safe with Aethir airdrop claims?

Use only Aethir's official channels. Season 2 claims were announced for Aethir's official User Portal, for a one-week window. A real airdrop never asks for your seed phrase or private key, so treat any message asking for either as a scam, and ignore claim links sent by strangers.
