Arbitrum ARB airdrop step by step tutorial
The Arbitrum ARB airdrop distributed the ARB token to wallets that had used Arbitrum One, and to a lesser extent Arbitrum Nova, before a snapshot on 6 February 2023. The claim window ran from 23 March 2023 to 24 September 2023, and the governance docs still list ARB as no longer claimable when checked on 2 November 2026. Taking part meant earning points through onchain activity, then claiming on Arbitrum One.
This airdrop has ended · checked 2 November 2026
As of 2 November 2026, the Arbitrum DAO governance docs show that claiming of the ARB airdrop ended on 24 September 2023 and state that ARB is no longer claimable.
Arbitrum's ARB airdrop has ended: the snapshot was 6 February 2023 and claiming closed 24 September 2023. See how points set each allocation.
What is Arbitrum?
Arbitrum is a network that hosts finance, consumer and gaming applications, with Arbitrum One as the chain where its ARB token launched. Its website also offers a toolkit for teams that want to run a chain of their own.
Arbitrum One runs the Ethereum virtual machine natively, so Solidity contracts and the usual Ethereum developer tools work there. Stylus extends this to Rust, C and C++ for writing contracts.
Governance sits with the ArbitrumDAO and the Arbitrum Foundation, whose site says it supports both the development and the governance of the technology. ARB is the governance token of that system, and the airdrop described here handed it to early users of the network.
How Arbitrum works
Arbitrum One is a rollup chain, and ARB is a governance token native to it. The token is minted and claimable only on Arbitrum One, not on Ethereum Mainnet.
The airdrop turned onchain history into points. Each qualifying action before the 6 February 2023 snapshot added a single point, and a wallet's total stopped growing at 15. Activity on Arbitrum Nova gave a smaller number of extra points. A wallet needed at least 3 points to qualify at all.
Timing mattered too: points scored before the Nitro upgrade of Arbitrum One counted double, so a point earned after it carried half the allocation. That is why entitlements ran from 625 tokens, the halved minimum, up to 10,250. In total, 11.62% of the initial supply (1.162 billion tokens) was set aside for users.
The snapshot was taken on 6 February 2023, claiming opened on 23 March 2023 and closed on 24 September 2023, so the window has passed.
The ARB airdrop
The campaign paid ARB to wallets that had used Arbitrum One before the 6 February 2023 snapshot, with a smaller set of qualifying actions on Arbitrum Nova also counting. Each wallet's points set its allocation, from 625 to 10,250 tokens. Claiming was open from 23 March 2023 to 24 September 2023 and is now closed.

Kept for reference: this is how the campaign worked while it ran.
Stay safe: a real airdrop never asks for your seed phrase or private key. Use only the official links on this page, and treat any message that offers help with a claim as a scam.
Step 1: Use Arbitrum One before the snapshot
Qualifying actions were onchain, such as bridging funds in and making transactions on Arbitrum One. Only activity before the snapshot of 6 February 2023 counted.
Step 2: Let points build up
Each qualifying action added a single point and totals topped out at 15, with points from before the Nitro upgrade counting double. A wallet needed at least 3 points to qualify.
Step 3: Claim ARB on Arbitrum One
Claiming ran from 23 March 2023 to 24 September 2023, and the tokens were claimable only on Arbitrum One. The window is closed; the airdrop specifications keep the full record.
Arbitrum airdrop FAQ
Is the Arbitrum airdrop still live?
- No. Checked on 2 November 2026, the Arbitrum ARB distribution is finished. The Arbitrum DAO governance docs record the snapshot on 6 February 2023, the start of claiming on 23 March 2023 and its end on 24 September 2023, and they state that ARB is no longer claimable.
What token did the Arbitrum airdrop pay, and how much?
- The airdrop paid ARB, which is minted and claimable only on Arbitrum One. Entitlements ranged from 625 to 10,250 tokens per eligible address, depending on points, and users as a group were allotted 11.62% of the initial supply, or 1.162 billion tokens.
How were Arbitrum airdrop points earned?
- Points came from qualifying onchain actions performed before the 6 February 2023 snapshot, at most one point per action, with scores capped at 15. Points earned before the Nitro upgrade counted twice as much, and some Arbitrum Nova activity could add points as well.
Does the Arbitrum airdrop need KYC?
- No identity verification is described in the airdrop docs: eligibility rested on onchain activity before the snapshot, and a wallet needed at least 3 points to qualify. Claiming happened on Arbitrum One. The airdrop is closed, so no verification step applies now.
