Base airdrop: potential, not confirmed

Base has not announced an airdrop as of 1 November 2026. The one token-related signal is a September 2025 blog post saying a network token is under exploration, with no launch shown. Today Base runs as a live chain built by Coinbase, with tokenized stocks and the Cobalt upgrade live, and you can use it by opening an app or connecting a wallet.

Potential airdrop: nothing to join yet · checked 1 November 2026

As of 1 November 2026, the Base chain is running and open to use, with the Cobalt upgrade and tokenized stocks live. A September 2025 blog post says a network token is under exploration, but Base's own site describes no airdrop or claim.

A potential airdrop is not a campaign: Base may never hold one, and using it may earn you nothing.

No Base airdrop is announced as of 1 November 2026. See the one token signal from Base's blog and how to start using the Base chain today.

What is Base?

Base is a blockchain built by Coinbase and described on its own site as open to all. Its documentation says that issuing stablecoins, taking payments and applying compliance rules are built into the chain itself, and that a transaction confirms within a second for under a cent.

The home page points builders to trading, payments and agents, and promotes stocks that trade around the clock. Coinbase's tokenized stocks put US company shares onchain: a regulated custodian holds the underlying shares, and the matching tokens live on Base in the B20 format.

The blog lists Cobalt, described as Base's third upgrade, as live on mainnet in a post dated 30 September 2026.

How Base works

Base works as a chain that apps and wallets connect to. Its trading page tells builders to connect a wallet and then use the Coinbase Trading API or the DEX or aggregator of their choice, with trades settling on Base for less than a cent.

For everyday users, a December 2025 blog post describes the Base App as an everything app for social, trading and payments, available in more than 140 countries. Tokenized stocks are held in a self-custodial wallet and can be traded at any hour, weekends and US market holidays included, in permitted jurisdictions outside the US.

On rewards, Base's own site describes no points program or token claim as of 1 November 2026. The Base App post does say the app has "countless ways to earn", without naming a token or points. The one token statement is in a blog post from BaseCamp 2025, dated 15 September 2025, which says a network token is under exploration. The blog gives no date, name or symbol for that token.

How to start using Base

These steps are for using Base itself. There is no airdrop to take part in, so nothing here qualifies you for one.

Stay safe: a real airdrop never asks for your seed phrase or private key. Use only the official links on this page, and treat any message that offers help with a claim as a scam.

  1. Step 1: Read the docs overview

  2. Step 2: Get the Base App

Base's blog describes the Base App as available in more than 140 countries and says to download it. Details are in the Base App post.

  3. Step 3: Check wallet options

Base's trading page, written for builders, shows wallets such as Coinbase Wallet, Rainbow, Phantom and MetaMask among the products it lists under "Trusted by".

  4. Step 4: Browse the ecosystem

Use the Explore Ecosystem link on the home page to reach the ecosystem page. The trading page refers to apps and protocols on Base that support tokenized stocks, stablecoins, tokenized commodities and crypto assets.

  5. Step 5: Look at tokenized stocks

The stocks page lists Coinbase Tokenized Stocks, each with its own prospectus link. The page also links the legal disclosures.
