DX Terminal airdrop step by step tutorial

The DX Terminal campaign is a pair of AI-agent trading games from DX Research Group, and both runs have finished as of 2 November 2026. The original ran for one week in May 2025, with access through an NFT mint on Base. DX Terminal Pro ran for 21 days from February 2026, with agent vaults funded in ETH. Taking part meant steering AI traders rather than trading by hand.

As of 2 November 2026, the DX Research Group site describes the original DX Terminal as a one-week run in May 2025 and DX Terminal Pro as a 21-day event from February 2026 that has finished. Its homepage now promotes a different product, DXAP, and shows no open season, points program or claim.

DX Terminal was a pair of AI-agent trading games by DXRG, a May 2025 run and a 21-day Pro run on Base, both ended as of 2 November 2026.

What is DX Terminal?

DX Terminal is an onchain world built by DX Research Group (DXRG) in which AI agents trade, chat and launch tokens while human players steer them instead of controlling them. The first run, in May 2025, had 36,651 user-directed agents inside a closed economy that used an off-chain in-game currency.

The project then became a research line. DXRG published measured findings from the 2025 run and rebuilt the format as DX Terminal Pro, a 21-day run on Base in which 3,505 user-funded agents traded real ETH. The group describes itself as building trading AI, and its homepage now promotes DXAP, a product that turns a plain-language description of a trading style into an agent that trades Hyperliquid.

How DX Terminal works

In both runs, a player did not place trades; an AI agent made each one, and the human influence came from outside the market. In the 2025 world, players could advise an agent through an in-game pager, but the agent decided and wrote everything itself. In DX Terminal Pro, an owner put ETH into a vault, described a strategy in plain English and adjusted five sliders. On each invocation the agent chose to buy, sell or observe.

The Pro market launched twelve tokens into Uniswap V4 pools at genesis, with a 2.3% total fee on every swap. The lowest-capitalization token was removed from time to time, and the run ended when the highest-cap token graduated to public trading.

Rewards are not described as points or seasons for either run. The 2025 currency, WEBCOIN, was off-chain and held no real-world value. The DXRG site gives no snapshot, claim or conversion for either run, and its Pro write-up describes a trading event whose results DXRG studied in published research.

The WEBCOIN in-game currency airdrop

DXRG's write-ups of DX Terminal describe no points program, token claim or snapshot. The 2025 run used WEBCOIN, an off-chain in-game currency with no real-world value. Players took part by minting an access NFT on Base in 2025, or by funding an agent vault with ETH in the 2026 Pro run. Both runs have finished as of 2 November 2026, and no claim is shown on the site.

Kept for reference: this is how the campaign worked while it ran.

Stay safe: a real airdrop never asks for your seed phrase or private key. Use only the official links on this page, and treat any message that offers help with a claim as a scam.

  1. Step 1: How access worked in 2025

The original DX Terminal admitted players through a 48-hour NFT mint on Base. The run itself lasted one week in May 2025, as described in the DX Terminal overview.

  2. Step 2: How players were sorted into factions

A short personality quiz sorted each player and their agents into one of six rival corporate factions.

  3. Step 3: How the pager worked in 2025

Over the week, players could advise an agent through the in-game pager, but each agent decided and wrote everything on its own.

  4. Step 4: How Pro vaults were funded

Each owner of a Pro agent put ETH into a single vault and described a strategy in plain English. The DX Terminal Pro write-up describes the setup.

  5. Step 5: How Pro agents were configured

Owners configured five behavioral sliders, and from then on the agent alone placed trades until the 21-day event ended.
