Fuel Network FUEL airdrop step by step tutorial
The Fuel Network airdrop was the FUEL Genesis Drop, a community distribution tied to the Fuel Points Program and the project's incentivized testnet. The campaign has closed: on 29 October 2026 the explorer's earn-points page returns a 404, and the forum's Points Program category holds migration, airdrop checker and points threads. The tokenomics page names those two programs as examples of eligibility factors, not a full list.
This airdrop has ended · checked 29 October 2026
As of 29 October 2026, the explorer's earn-points page returns a 404, the token overview links a page labelled Genesis Drop Claims, and the forum's Points Program category holds threads on mainnet migration, the airdrop checker and points that displayed wrongly.
The Fuel Network FUEL Genesis Drop rewarded Fuel Points Program and incentivized testnet users; this page covers how it worked and its ended status.
What is Fuel Network?
Fuel Network is the project behind Fuel Ignition, which its homepage introduces as an Ethereum layer-2 running on the FuelVM and aimed at verification on home hardware. The Fuel Book says it is written for developers, researchers and blockchain enthusiasts, and the site lists a block time of 1 second.
Fuel's distinctive pieces are its UTXO based asset model, native assets and spending conditions, which the site presents as the basis for exchanges, prediction markets and other applications. Developers write contracts in Sway, a domain-specific language the project built for the FuelVM, and install its tools through the fuelup toolchain manager.
The network's token is FUEL. According to its docs, the token is used to run the decentralized sequencer, to cover chain resources and to spare users of applications built on Fuel from transaction fees.
How Fuel Network works
Fuel Ignition is an Ethereum layer-2 that runs on the FuelVM. Its asset model is UTXO based, and the project points to native assets and spending conditions as the building blocks for exchanges and markets. Ignition still accepts gas fees in ETH, while FUEL pays for sequencer resources and secures the sequencing network through delegation to sequencer proposers.
The campaign tied rewards to participation. The docs set aside a fifth of the 10 billion FUEL initial supply for community members and name Points Program and incentivized testnet participation as examples of what counted. The tokenomics page gives no per-wallet formula and no rate for converting points. The token overview also links a page labelled Genesis Drop Claims.
Threads in the forum's Points Program category cover moving assets to mainnet, a missed migration deadline, an airdrop checker and points that displayed wrongly. The explorer's earn-points page now returns a 404, so no points are shown accruing there.
The FUEL airdrop
The campaign allocated FUEL to the community: 20% of the 10 billion initial supply, with Fuel Points Program and incentivized testnet participation named as examples of the eligibility factors. The token overview links a page labelled Genesis Drop Claims. The tokenomics page gives no per-person amounts and no points-to-token rate, and the campaign is treated as ended.
Step by step: how to get the FUEL airdrop
Kept for reference: this is how the campaign worked while it ran.
Stay safe: a real airdrop never asks for your seed phrase or private key. Use only the official links on this page, and treat any message that offers help with a claim as a scam.
Step 1: Note the explorer's earn-points address
The explorer's earn-points address, app.fuel.network/earn-points, now returns a 404, and the Fuel docs do not describe how points were earned there.
Step 2: Use the incentivized testnet
The tokenomics page names participation in the incentivized testnet, alongside the Points Program, as an example of the factors behind eligibility.
Step 3: Forum support for migration problems
The Points Program forum category describes itself as a place for people having issues migrating to Mainnet. This is a note about where questions were asked, not a requirement listed for the drop.
Step 4: Read the FUEL token overview
The Fuel token overview lists the FUEL ticker and supply, and links a page labelled Genesis Drop Claims.
Fuel Network airdrop FAQ
Is the Fuel Network airdrop still live?
- No. As of 29 October 2026 the FUEL Genesis Drop is treated as ended. The explorer's earn-points page returns a 404, the token overview links a page labelled Genesis Drop Claims, and the forum's Points Program category holds threads on mainnet migration, the airdrop checker and points that displayed wrongly.
What is the FUEL token?
- FUEL is the Fuel Network token, listed in the docs with the ticker FUEL and a total supply at genesis of 10,000,000,000. The docs describe it as the token behind the decentralized sequencer and chain resources, with an inflation schedule of 3% annually.
Who qualified for the FUEL community distribution?
- The tokenomics page says eligibility depended on factors, and it gives participation in the Fuel Points Program and the incentivized testnet as examples. It does not list every factor, and it gives no per-wallet amounts or points rate.
Which chain does Fuel Network run on?
- Fuel Ignition is the Ethereum layer-2 that the Fuel homepage introduces. The token overview lists the FUEL token contract address on Etherscan, which is the Ethereum explorer.
Do you pay fees on Fuel Ignition?
- Fuel Ignition continues to accept gas fees in ETH, according to the token overview. The same page says FUEL is meant to remove transaction fees for users of applications built on Fuel. It states no cost for the points campaign itself.
