The Monad airdrop is closed as of 1 November 2026. Mainnet and MON, the native token of the Monad blockchain, are live, and Monad's blog links a post titled The MON Airdrop Results. The public testnet before mainnet let people request faucet tokens and try apps; its onboarding guide lists no qualifying rules, and nothing is open to join now.

As of 1 November 2026, Monad's mainnet and MON token are live, its blog links a post titled The MON Airdrop Results, and its site shows no airdrop, points program or testnet campaign open to join.

Monad's MON airdrop is closed. See how the public testnet worked, what MON does, and where mainnet stands as of 1 November 2026.

What is Monad?

Monad is a Layer 1 blockchain that its own site calls institutional-grade, built to power an open, global economy through payments, asset tokenization and onchain capital markets. It is fully compatible with the EVM, so developers can bring their Ethereum code and wallets over without starting again.

The site lists block times of 300 ms, finality of 600 ms and near-zero fees. Its mission post describes the network as built for speed without giving up security or decentralization. MON, the native token, pays gas fees and secures the chain through staking.

The audience is developers, who get a developer hub with network details and guides, and institutions, who are pointed to a contact form. Everyday users reach the network through an app directory of projects built on it.

How Monad works

Monad keeps the Ethereum execution model but rebuilds what runs underneath it. The mission post credits a custom database called MonadDB and optimistic parallel execution for its speed, and a globally distributed set of validators for resistance to censorship. A July 23 upgrade cut block times from 400 ms to 300 ms and finality from 800 ms to 600 ms.

MON is paid as gas and staked to secure the chain. The mission post puts the initial supply at mainnet launch at 100 billion tokens.

The public testnet was the first public release of the protocol, where developers could build and communities could try apps ahead of mainnet. Users pasted an EVM wallet address into a faucet to receive test tokens. Mainnet and MON were scheduled for 24 November 2025. The testnet onboarding guide describes no points, tasks or snapshot.

The MON airdrop

Monad's blog has a post titled The MON Airdrop Results, but the testnet onboarding guide gives no amounts, qualifying rules or claim method. That guide asks users to request faucet tokens, try apps, give app teams feedback, join communities, build and share. As of 1 November 2026, nothing is accepting participants.

Step by step: how to get the MON airdrop

Kept for reference: this is how the campaign worked while it ran.

Stay safe: a real airdrop never asks for your seed phrase or private key. Use only the official links on this page, and treat any message that offers help with a claim as a scam.

  1. Step 1: Add the Monad Testnet to a wallet

The testnet onboarding guide says Phantom, OKX Wallet, Uniswap Wallet and Backpack add the network automatically, while other EVM wallets need a manual add through the testnet hub.

  2. Step 2: Request testnet tokens from the faucet

From the testnet hub, you paste your EVM wallet address into the faucet and receive test tokens. These tokens exist only on the testnet.

  3. Step 3: Try apps on the testnet

The guide points to a first trade through the native Uniswap and Dialect Blinks integrations, and to the Fantasy Top tournament, as ways to use the network before mainnet.

  4. Step 4: Send feedback to app teams

The guide asks testnet users to try many dApps, give teams feedback and join communities, since the testnet was an evolving experience.

  5. Step 5: Check mainnet details on the developer hub

The Monad developer hub lists network specs for both the testnet and the mainnet, each with MON as its token. The onboarding guide does not link testnet use to the airdrop.

Monad airdrop FAQ

Is the Monad airdrop still live?

No. As of 1 November 2026 the Monad airdrop is ended. Monad's mainnet and MON token are live, the old public testnet is described only as a phase before mainnet, and Monad's blog links a post titled The MON Airdrop Results. No airdrop, points program or testnet campaign is open to join.

What is the MON token?

MON is the native token of the Monad network. According to Monad's mission post, it pays gas fees, secures the chain through staking and aligns validators, developers and users. The same post puts the total initial supply at mainnet launch at 100 billion tokens, with launch scheduled for 24 November 2025.

Which chain does Monad run on?

Monad runs on its own Layer 1 blockchain, which is fully EVM compatible. Its developer hub lists a mainnet and a testnet, both using MON as the token. Ethereum contracts, wallets and tools carry over without being rebuilt, according to the project's homepage.

What did taking part in the Monad testnet cost?

Nothing beyond time. You pasted your EVM wallet address into the faucet at the testnet hub and received test tokens. The onboarding guide warns that assets on the Monad Testnet are not real, so the tokens held no value outside the test network.

Did the Monad testnet require KYC?

The testnet onboarding guide asks for no identity verification. Getting started needed an EVM-compatible wallet and its address for the faucet. Nothing in the guide mentions documents, selfies or exchange accounts.
