What is Offline Protocol?
Offline Protocol is a coordination layer for physical systems such as EV charging sites and vehicle fleets. Its software lets machines, apps and AI agents keep working together when a site loses its internet link, and the results of that offline work are merged into the company's cloud records once the connection returns.
Developers build on an SDK, and the mesh SDK is free under AGPL-3.0-only. Customer stories on the site cover EV charging, fleet coordination, restaurant orders, wind farms and airline catering.
The project reports 350,000+ devices reached in 140+ countries. Separately from its business customers, it offers an app called Mine, where people help grow a mesh network and collect points.
How Offline Protocol works
Offline Protocol's network moves data between nearby devices without a central server. Its router, DORS, picks whichever path is working best among BLE, WiFi Direct, the internet, Reticulum and Nostr, and passes each message from device to device for up to 8 hops. Sessions between devices are encrypted with MLS.
Mine is a separate app by Offline Protocol whose page asks users to help grow a mesh network. It describes linking up with nearby devices as the way to do that, alongside daily missions, with points awarded as the network grows.
Offline Protocol has not published how many points a mission or a link-up is worth, whether points run in seasons, or when they might be counted. It has also not announced a token, so as of 28 October 2026 the points have no stated conversion into anything, and the project names no snapshot day or claim day.
The Points airdrop
Mine rewards participants with points, not a token: Offline Protocol has announced no token, ticker or chain. Taking part means downloading the Mine app, linking up with nearby devices as part of the mesh, and doing the daily missions. The project does not say how many points each action earns, nor when any snapshot or claim might happen.
Step by step: how to get the Points airdrop
Stay safe: a real airdrop never asks for your seed phrase or private key. Use only the official links on this page, and treat any message that offers help with a claim as a scam.
Step 1: Open the Mine page
Go to the Mine page by Offline Protocol, the starting point for the points campaign.
Step 2: Download the Mine app
Use the Download Mine button on the Mine page to get the app.
Step 3: Join the mesh near other devices
Let the app connect with devices around you. This link-up with nearby peers is how you take part in the mesh.
Step 4: Do the daily missions
Work through the missions the app sets each day.
Step 5: Keep growing the network
Points are earned as the network grows, so keep linking up and doing missions. Offline Protocol has not published a points formula or a claim date.
