What is Snowball Money?
Snowball Money is the name behind Modular Naming Service (MNS), a dApp for creating and managing unique identities, adding records to them and trading them on an identity marketplace. The MNS pages are published by Snowball Finance, Inc.
An identity is a readable alphanumeric name that stands in for a long wallet address. It can be used to send assets, and it appears in place of the address on blockchain explorers and dApps. Identities can be claimed on several EVM networks, on Aptos and on Movement, and one name can carry address records for more than 30 networks.
Snowball also runs Cross-Identity Payments (CIP), a separate dApp for sending crypto to an identity name instead of an address. MNS additionally powers a Reputation Score, a global score of a wallet's engagement and credibility, and the Earn system that this airdrop listing covers.
How Snowball Money works
An MNS identity is claimed with the native token of a supported network, for example ETH on Ethereum, AVAX on Avalanche or APT on Aptos. Once claimed, the name can be shared as a payment alias, connected to dApps and tied to wallet addresses through address records. The first identity claimed becomes the primary identity shown in place of the wallet address.
The Earn program sits on top of this. Identity owners earn Flakes by completing tasks of three kinds: daily tasks, repeatable tasks and achievements. Examples on the Earn page include sharing an identity card on X, claiming a new identity, and owning names of different character lengths. Referrals also earn Flakes. Daily tasks have a 24-hour window, and one that is not collected in that time is burned.
Flakes are Snowball's in-app points. The Earn page says accumulated Flakes determine eligibility for exclusive airdrops and leaderboard rankings, and that they are key to unlocking future airdrops. It gives no date or amount for those airdrops. Ties on the leaderboard are settled first by the number of referrals, then by the number of claimed identities, and the page says there is no cap on Flakes.
The Flakes airdrop
The campaign pays Flakes, Snowball's in-app points, for daily, repeatable and achievement tasks, and for referrals. Identity owners who connect a wallet on the rewards site can collect them. Accumulated Flakes set leaderboard rank and eligibility for exclusive airdrops, and the Earn page gives no date or amount for those. The referral program also runs a Monthly Leaderboard with prizes of up to $500 000.
Step by step: how to get the Flakes airdrop
Stay safe: a real airdrop never asks for your seed phrase or private key. Use only the official links on this page, and treat any message that offers help with a claim as a scam.
Step 1: Connect a wallet on the rewards site
Open the MNS Earn page and connect a supported wallet, such as Petra or OKX Wallet.
Step 2: Claim an MNS identity
Earn is aimed at identity owners, so claim a name with the native token of a supported network. Owners of an ENS domain can reclaim it on MNS for free and earn Flakes for that.
Step 3: Complete the daily and special missions
Work through the daily missions, such as liking and retweeting a post on X or sharing your identity card, and collect the Flakes for each. A daily task not collected within 24 hours is burned.
Step 4: Take on repeatable tasks and achievements
Claim further identities, share your successful claim card, and own names of different character lengths to earn more Flakes. Your history appears in the Earn History section.
Step 5: Refer other users and track your rank
Generate a link on the referral page and follow your Flakes and position on the leaderboard on the Earn page.
