Solayer LAYER airdrop step by step tutorial
The Solayer Genesis Drop was a token claim that gave eligible early users of Solayer a share of LAYER, the governance token of the Solayer ecosystem. Its claim window is now closed: the Solayer Foundation claim site gives 15 May 2026 as the end of the claim period, which had passed by 1 November 2026, even though the page still shows a "claiming phase is now live" banner. Taking part meant connecting a wallet on that site to check eligibility and claim.

Solayer's LAYER Genesis Drop let early sSOL and sUSD users claim LAYER tokens until 15 May 2026; see who qualified and how claiming worked.
What is Solayer?
Solayer is a blockchain on the Solana virtual machine that relies on dedicated hardware for speed, with a set of finance products built around it for staking, earning and spending on Solayer Chain. The chain runs on the Solana virtual machine, so developers can bring over existing Solana programs with few changes.
On top of the chain sit consumer products. sSOL, the staking product run through the Mega Validator, uses a hardware-optimized validator operated by the team. sUSD is a yield-bearing stablecoin backed by U.S. Treasury bills. Solayer Pay is a crypto-native Visa card for spending stablecoins.
By its own account, Solayer assigns signature checks, filtering, simulation and storage to specialized hardware clusters.
How Solayer works
Solayer Chain gives separate hardware clusters one job each in handling transactions: the docs list signature verification, filtering, simulation, scheduling and storage. Nodes talk to each other over InfiniBand RDMA, and consensus combines Proof-of-Authority with Proof-of-Stake.
The Genesis Drop was set up for existing community members who have been with Solayer since 2024, according to the tokenomics docs. Those docs reserve 12% of the LAYER supply for community members, integration partners and liquidity providers. The qualifying groups were holders of sSOL or sUSD, wallets that delegated sSOL to AVS partners, wallets that placed sSOL or sUSD in partnered DeFi protocols, depositors of whitelisted LSTs on Solayer, depositors through partner and wallet campaigns, and LRT protocols. The docs say over 250,000 unique holders were eligible at launch.
The claim site checked the connected wallet and handled the claim, with the claim period ending on 15 May 2026. The docs add that further LAYER was claimable over the following 6 months by Epoch. No per-wallet amount is published on the claim site or in the docs.
The LAYER airdrop
The Genesis Drop paid LAYER, the governance token of the Solayer ecosystem, to early users in the groups the docs list, with sSOL and sUSD holders among them. Eligible wallets claimed on the Solayer Foundation site, and the claim period ended on 15 May 2026. The site publishes no per-wallet amount.
Step by step: how to get the LAYER airdrop
Kept for reference: this is how the campaign worked while it ran.
Stay safe: a real airdrop never asks for your seed phrase or private key. Use only the official links on this page, and treat any message that offers help with a claim as a scam.
Step 1: Open the Genesis Drop claim site
Go to the Solayer Foundation claim site, which carried the LAYER Genesis Drop. It listed 15 May 2026 as the end of the claim period.
Step 2: Connect a wallet
Press Connect Wallet and pick one of the listed options, such as Phantom, Backpack, Solflare or Ledger. The claim site checked the connected wallet and handled the claim.
Step 3: Check your eligibility
The site showed whether the wallet qualified. The tokenomics docs list the activity that counted, such as holding sSOL or sUSD.
Step 4: Claim your LAYER
If the wallet was eligible, claim LAYER from the same page while the window was open. That window has now closed.
