What is Ether.fi?

Ether.fi is an account and rewards platform that its homepage describes as the one account for your money: you can buy crypto, stocks and metals and spend anywhere in the world. Its card pays 3% cashback on everyday purchases, online or in-store, and the app offers membership levels with extra benefits.

The project also has its own token, ETHFI, which it calls its governance and rewards token, used to guide protocol decisions and align long-term participants. Its DAO votes on seasonal ETHFI allocations that pay for activity on the protocol, and Season 5 was one of those proposals.

The homepage lists what the account covers in one place: buying crypto, stocks and metals, spending worldwide, earning while holding and borrowing without selling.

How Ether.fi works

On the product side, the homepage says you can grow your assets through rewards and automated strategies while holding them, borrow for liquidity without selling, and reach metals, tokenized stocks and crypto without opening a separate trading account.

Season 5 was the DAO's ETHFI reward season for early 2025. The proposal set aside 10 million ETHFI: 7 million ETHFI for promotional campaigns and core asset development, and 3 million ETHFI for liquid vault deposit incentives. It ran from 1 February to 31 May 2025. ETHFI was the base reward for the actions the season incentivized, partners could add their own token rewards and loyalty multipliers, and stakers were promised exclusive AVS airdrops and other reward opportunities.

Payment came last: campaign rewards, along with unused allocations for S5 stakers, were to be paid out at the end of the season. The proposal names no claim page and no snapshot date, and the current homepage points visitors to the cashback account instead of any open season.

The ETHFI airdrop

Season 5 set aside 10 million ETHFI, split between promotions plus the core assets and incentives for depositing into liquid vaults. ETHFI was the main reward for incentivized actions, and partners could add their own tokens or loyalty multipliers. Campaign rewards and unused allocations for S5 stakers were to be paid at the end of the season. The season has ended.

Step by step: how to get the ETHFI airdrop

Kept for reference: this is how the campaign worked while it ran.

Stay safe: a real airdrop never asks for your seed phrase or private key. Use only the official links on this page, and treat any message that offers help with a claim as a scam.

  1. Step 1: Read the Season 5 proposal

The Season 5 governance proposal lists the allocation, the dates and the reward types. It is the reference for how the season was set up.

  2. Step 2: Note where the project points users now

The proposal names no app or page for taking part. The project's current ether.fi app promotes a cashback account rather than a season.

  3. Step 3: Deposit into an incentivized product

The proposal aimed to drive deposits and engagement across liquid vaults, with 3 million ETHFI set aside for vault deposit incentives and further rewards for promotional campaigns.

  4. Step 4: Stake ETHFI for staker rewards

The proposal also promised exclusive AVS airdrops and other reward opportunities for ETHFI stakers during the season.

  5. Step 5: Wait for the end-of-season payout

Rewards were to be paid out when the season closed on 31 May 2025. The proposal does not name a separate claim page.
