What is Ping Network?

Ping Network is a bandwidth infrastructure project that turns any device with an internet connection, from enterprise servers and routers to personal devices, into a node in one shared network. Businesses use it as a proxy provider for work such as data collection for AI, ad verification, price monitoring and search result data collection.

People with spare capacity can contribute through the Ping app on mobile, desktop or Chrome. The project says its rewards are tracked onchain. Data centers and other businesses with excess bandwidth can contact the team, and server node setup for individual contributors is listed as coming soon.

How Ping Network works

Ping combines the internet connections of its contributors into one network that supports private networks, data scraping, uptime monitoring and content delivery. The project says only unused bandwidth is used, kept separate from a contributor's personal internet activity. Contributors choose how their bandwidth is used. The docs name an active VPN connection as the current way to earn points, while the homepage lists VPN data routing among the use cases it plans to support soon, alongside data scraping, content delivery acceleration and uptime monitoring.

Ping Points are earned in Season One. The docs set the rate at 1 point for each 10 minutes of connection through the Ping app, counted continuously, and the count carries on when the app sits in the background or the screen is dark, provided the VPN stays on. A single account used on several devices earns 1 point per 10 minutes in total before boosts.

Boosts raise the earning rate and come from tasks in the app. Ping Network has not announced a token, a claim date or what the points convert into.

The Ping Points airdrop

Ping Network pays Ping Points in Season One and has announced no token, so the points are not linked to a stated reward. Every active user earns points by installing the Ping app and keeping the VPN connected, at 1 point per 10 minutes. A snapshot of contributions is taken at the end of each season.
