Points program

Also called points programme, points campaign, airdrop points

A points program is a scheme in which a project awards points for activity such as deposits, trading or referrals, which the project may later convert into a token airdrop at a rate it chooses. Blast ran one of the largest. Its docs say wallets earned points automatically every block based on their ETH, WETH or USDB balance, that dapps should pass the points they earned back to users, and that multipliers raised both point balances and earning rates. Phase 2 allocated 10 billion BLAST, half to points, and ran until June 2025. Arbitrum sized each ARB claim with a points score capped at 15. On AirdropStop, Orange Finance was a points programme on Arbitrum.

Points are not tokens. The project sets the conversion and the rules: Blast warned that any attempt to create a tradable proxy for points would see those points zeroed, and Galxe says points on its platform are non-transferable in the initial phase. See airdrop points programs for how points have turned into tokens.
