What is Blast Royale?
Blast Royale is a mobile top down Battle Royale game built for players who want to own what they earn, with a token called NOOB at the centre of its ecosystem. Players take part in matches against real players, work through goals such as the Battle Pass, and join events and tournaments.
The game is made by First Light Games, which holds a licence to the Blast Royale IP. The team develops and distributes assets, and the community influences the feature roadmap, gameplay feedback and future updates.
One example of the project's NFTs is the Corpos collection, a limited edition set of profile pictures. Owners get access to private Discord channels and a Corpo character they can use in the game.

How Blast Royale works
Each match puts a player on an island with 47 other players, and only the strongest survive. Reaching the end of a match as the last player standing is not required to earn in the Loot-to-Airdrop event, which paid out NOOB directly instead of fantasy points.
The event began on 7 October. Players collected a token each time they opened a green chest, killed an enemy or opened a yellow Airdrop chest. The first two carried a chance of receiving NOOB, while an Airdrop chest always gave 1 or more tokens. Owning certain NFTs from the project gave a bonus on NOOB collected in the game, and one NOOB in the game equalled one NOOB in the wallet.
The event wrapped up on 27 October. Collected tokens could be claimed at the token launch on 13 November or spent in the game for different features. That launch has happened: NOOB began trading on KuCoin at 12:00 UTC on 13 November 2024, so the campaign is over. Tokens earned in the game are moved from the in-game balance to the Blast Hub, where they are withdrawn. Blast Royale has not announced a date for another Loot-to-Airdrop round.
